All the hype today is about the Senate Intelligence committee report that confirms after years of investigating that the information the Bush Admin used to go to war in Iraq was faulty.

I'll agree with Tony Snow here.... BIG SURPRISE!
Though, as press secretary I am disappointed in Tony.
He appears to have surcom to the talking points. I am yet to hear him have an independent voice. I know he has to be in lockstep with the White House. Just sayin' he's starting to sound more and more scripted and overly defensive.

Just always have to wonder about the kinda people that can shrug off affecting the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, soldiers, families, and Americans because they made horrible decisions based on inaccurate intelligence.

The kinda people that continue to show no remorse, no pause for mental faculty, no sensitivity, no responsibility.

And even more you have to wonder about the people that defend them.

Psychotics!

Willingly or unwillingly, even the state has to pay restitution when it has wrongly prosecuted.

I am looking for these helluva men these brainwashed conservative bimbo's like Ann Coulter keep ranting and raving about. Right now they are looking like a bunch of punk ass bitches suffering from little man syndrome.

The other story I'm not digesting very well is all the hype around the Armitage confession.

Now I may have misinterpreted ... but Novak appears to say that his source has not revealed himself?

MR. RUSSERT: Before we go, Robert Novak, the story that will not go away. Newsweek today has a story that on the morning of October 1, ‘03, “Secretary of State Colin Powell received an urgent phone call from his No. 2” Richard Armitage.
“Armitage had been at home reading the newspaper,” a column by one Robert Novak. “Months earlier Novak had caused a huge stir when he revealed that Valerie Plame, wife of Iraq-war critic Joseph Wilson, was a CIA officer.
“Ever since, Washington had been trying to find out who leaked the information to Novak. ... Now in a second column, Novak provided a tantalizing clue: his primary source, he wrote, was a ‘senior administration official’ who was ‘not a partisan gunslinger.’ Armitage was shaken. After reading the column, he knew immediately who the leaker was. On the phone with Powell that morning morning, Armitage was ‘in deep distress,’ says a source directly familiar with the conversation.” “‘I’m sure he’s talking about me.’”
The article goes on to quote State Department Intelligence Chief Carl Ford as saying Armitage said, “I’m afraid I’m the guy who may have caused all this,” and that he had met with one Robert Novak on July 8, Mr. Armitage did. Are you now prepared to say, confirm Newsweek that Richard Armitage was one of your sources?
MR. NOVAK: I told Mr. Isikoff, the investigator—he’s a very good investigative reporter, by the way—but I told him that I do not identify my sources on any subject if they’re on a confidential basis until they identify themselves. I don’t say that somebody was or wasn’t. I’m going to say one thing, though, I haven’t said before. And that is that I believe that the time has way passed for my source to identify himself.

Talking points lead to Stupid ?

While watching some of the spinmeisters on FOX and hearing similar complaints from some of the "conservative" talk-show radio listeners that call into C-Span going on and on with the talking points memo they received. Apperently directing them to drive the conversation on Hezbollah as a terrorist organization and not a valid political organization in Lebannon, I came up with this:

America's Superman

This morning I was watching Superman on HBO2. It got me to thinkin.

You know how philosophical I can get.

Conservatives are all up in arms because Superman Returns doesn't mention fighting for the American way.

There are some who are saying Hollywood intentionally made this decision because they wanted Superman to be an "international" hero. Well I say phoooey!!! You capitalists are soooo shallow!

I belive there are intellects in Hollywood. They made this decision because they were hoping someone would see the symbolism.

I find it ironic that at a time when prominent conservative spinsters have decided to wage a war with the "liberal" news media; the great American hero they are whining about, this great American hero that fights for Truth, Justice, and the American way... is a reporter, Clark Kent, at a newspaper, The Daily Planet. Smitten by an investagative reporter, Lois Lane, at the newspaper.

See you unhappy never-satisfied whiners. It is the American news media that is the most American thing about the United States. Freedom of the press so far has been the only gaurantee to truth the American people have had for years. I find great satisfaction in knowing there is a partner in this democracy that cannot be sworn, threatened, or bribed into secrecy at any time.

The great American hero fighting for truth, justice, and the American way is the American news media.

Great move Hollywood!!

Then thing that bothers me most about the governments response to hurricane Katrina, Rita, & their recent predecessors is:

Let's say the evacuation was successful. Everyone got out. There were no lives lost.

What about the property damage?

Why 6 months later is there almost NO reconstruction?

If the United States government can't rebuild a few of it's own gulf coast states, what makes you believe that we are rebuilding in Iraq?

Executive or Imperial?

Like Cheney our next in line for the throne, I too had to take several hours to soak in what has happened and the implications of his hunting "accident".

I laughed into an asthmatic attack while watching the Daily Show with John Stewart that Monday night(Feb 13) after the story broke. Letterman and Leno were funny but the "mainstream" media's paranoia restrained their canned jokes.



While the conservative talk shows, talking heads, media, and op eds express their "outrage" at the whitehouse press corps so-called self appointed importance for feeling that the administration should have made a statement immediately following the incident. I am equally appalled at an adminstration that continues to operate in what is properly being labeled a cloud of secrecy.

Conservatives go on and on about the arrogance of the press I feel it is more arrogant for elected officials to believe that they have no accountability to the people that ELECTED them.

I find it very troubling that the Congress and conservative media were able to get a special prosecutor and congressional investigations into a supposed crooked land deal in Arkansas back in the 1980's when Bill Clinton was NOT PRESIDENT. But can't seem to get real results from any of the congressional hearings surrounding unethical, questionable, and criminal activity of Bush or Cheney.

The sad thing is, this is funny to conservatives. They have spewed their hatred and intolerence over the airwaves. Forced it through the world by the barrel of a gun and ignited violence and instability in the middle east. They do these evil things to push their agenda of greed and privilege while trying to convince the people that they are on a mission from God?

My question is who's God? Jesus was against war and intolerence. They certainly are not on a war for the God that Jesus represented. Jesus fed the multitudes with fish and loaves that were offered. He didn't formulate that those who had the most to offer should keep more of their offering while those with less starved.

Today I am going to investigate how hunting accidents are usually handled by law enforcement.
I'll post that article later.
